Drawing/Watercolour Class, Choose Your Creative Path
Whether you’re curious about learning to draw, excited to try watercolour painting or keen to explore both, this gentle beginner class lets you choose the creative path that feels right for you.
You can focus on:
Drawing basics, simple shapes, shading, line work, and learning to really see what you’re drawing
Watercolour techniques including soft washes, blending, colour mixing and expressive mark‑making
OR
A combination of both, start with drawing and bring your artwork to life with watercolour.
Everything is taught step‑by‑step in a relaxed, supportive space where absolutely no experience is needed. You’ll build confidence, learn new skills, and enjoy a calming creative escape.
Perfect for absolute beginners, returning creatives, or anyone wanting a gentle introduction to art. You may choose to learn either or both mediums. You may or may not be required to purchase further items. This will be discussed in class.

Drawing Materials List
HB pencil (plus a 2B or 4B for softer shading)
Eraser (kneadable or standard)
Sharpener
A4 or A3 drawing paper or sketchbook
Optional: blending stump/tortillon for smooth shading
Optional: fine liner or ink pen for simple line work
AND/OR
Watercolour Materials List
Watercolour paints (pan set or tubes — student grade is perfect for beginners)
Watercolour brushes (a background brush, round brushes in sizes 4–8 are ideal)
Watercolour paper (A4 or A3, 300gsm recommended)
Paper towel or soft cloth
Palette for mixing colours (plastic, ceramic, or the lid of your paint set)
Arriving to class fully prepared, assists you to focus on what you are learning.
Please note;
- Please check class schedule as it may or may not be 4 consecutive weeks as there are no classes public holidays
- Evening classes are fortnightly with day classes held weekly
- Class may be postponed/cancelled in the case of insufficient bookings
- No classes public holidays

About Paint Your World
Michele Ling is a contemporary Artist based on the Mornington Peninsula, her mission is to inspire, educate & uplift people through art. Her personal belief is that art & colour play an important role in our lives. Greatly influenced by colour, her art generates feelings of love, light & joy. She enjoys the flexibility of painting with acrylics, using texture, collage, and exploring various mixed media works.
Having worked with art for over 20 years, including teaching art to various groups of children & adults. Her painting styles are numerous and include fine detailed work to creative and colourful abstracts.
A passionate art tutor, Michele holds regular classes and workshops in Mornington, classes are also available online and a mobile service is available for those in need. Her motto is "Learn to Paint, Anyone Can".
Cancellations & Refunds
If the organiser cancels the class:
You are entitled to a full refund.
If you can't attend the class:
You’re welcome to send someone in your place.
OR
- A refund can be requested 14 days before class starts. An admin fee of AU$20.00 applies.
- A transfer can be requested 5 days before the class starts. Free of charge.
- A credit note can be requested 5 days before the class starts. Free of charge.
No changes will be allowed after these times.
We recommend the refund upgrade option upon checkout in case you’re not able to attend the class. Learn more about refund upgrade option.
Terms & Conditions
- Gift Vouchers, No-Shows and Late Cancellations are non-refundable nor are they available for rescheduling
- If you miss a class, there are no refunds and no make-up classes
- If you cancel your booking and are owed a refund, this will be issued minus the booking fee
- Insurance is available via We Teach Me upon booking checkout, you may then be eligible for a refund, (check conditions) please contact We Teach Me
- If you need to reschedule your booking, please advise Paint Your World. With sufficient notice you may then transfer your booking to another date, depending on circumstances, refunds will be considered by request, minus an admin fee
- Any class cancelled by Paint Your World, booked & paid, is entitled to a full refund
- If a class is rescheduled you will be offered a place to the rescheduled date
