Beat the Blues with After‑School Art Classes — Mornington

Art is a wonderful way for young people to build confidence, ease anxiety, and connect with others. These classes help students express themselves creatively while learning real art skills in a relaxed, supportive environment.

How It Works

Students can choose what they’d like to paint on - canvas or art paper,  and bring an A4 display folder with printed examples or pictures they’d love to learn from. An iPad or tablet is fine too.

Arriving prepared helps them focus and make the most of their creative time. A detailed materials list is provided upon booking.

What They’ll Learn

Using acrylic paints, students learn how to draw and paint their chosen image from start to finish, including sketching, colour mixing, brush care, and creative decision‑making. Each child is gently guided at their own pace, with techniques adapted to suit their individual style.

Parents are welcome to pop in at the end of class to see their child’s progress, they’ll be proud of what they’ve achieved!

*Please note: 

• Parents are not required to stay in the class as it is a drop & go activity
• In person classes will automatically switch to online in the case of lockdown
• Class may be postponed/cancelled in the case of insufficient bookings
